Music Is Joy
By Peter Stewart

Music makes our days more joyful

It gives us an earful

So that our cup is full

While listening to music we find ourselves cheerful

Creating memories

Music helps our work go faster

Whistling while earning

Humming while learning

Singing along with the old music masters

Making each song our own

Music is influential

It can alter a room

Change a heart

Get us to dance!

We become a part

Of something larger than ourselves

Music is universal

Drums and rhythm everywhere In every corner of the world

People sing and praise

And raise their hands up in the air

Music is ever present

From jump rope jives

To folk and jazz

From nursery rhymes

To memorial songs

Music brings joy our whole life long
