Catherine Nyznyk, M.A., Director of Monterey Peninsula College Child Development Center has been in the ECE field for 30 years. She is a California Mentor Director, Child Development Training Consortium Coordinator, local AEYC Board Member and Child Development Instructor, teaching administration, curriculum and parenting classes. Her Reggio-inspired campus laboratory program serves 120 families and values education, childhood and community offering an emergent curriculum that allows for flexibility, spontaneity and in depth exploration. |

Gavin Haque, Director of Educational Services, is responsible for working with teachers, program administrators, and parents to implement high quality early childhood education programs using the research-validated High/Scope Curriculum. To date, High/Scope Foundation has reached more than 250,000 early childhood educators with its services and resource materials. In addition to providing professional development and publishing and distributing resource materials, High/Scope conducts the longest running research project in early childhood education: the Perry Preschool Study. |

Tom Simons, Director of Education & Public Programs, is in his seventh year with the Omaha Children’s Museum. He has 20 years of educational experience as a teacher and principal. Tom has worked to develop new programs and create innovative exhibit spaces that have enhanced the visitor experience. In 2005 Tom’s efforts earned the museum the Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Award for Visitor Experience and in 2008 Tom was asked to be a part of an exhibit advisory committee for the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center at the National Museum of American History. |

Gail Greene is the Director of Van Dyke Day School, a faith-based preschool and child care center serving 300 children in Tampa, Florida. Gail has worked with young children for 26 years and began her career as a speech/language therapist in the public school system. She has worked to raise the level of professionalism in the center by raising staff pay, increasing benefits, and successfully taking the center through the accreditation process. The National Association of Child Care Professionals recognized Gail as their National Director of the Year for 2008. |
