1. Entries must have been released between June 1, 1998 and April 24, 2000.

2. Each product entered for evaluation must be accompanied by

entry form

entry fee

press release or description of the product (to be used in writing up winning products for publication)

transparencies or color photograph of product (digital artwork will also be accepted); images will not be returned

3. Products that have won an Early Childhood News Directors’ Choice Award in the past are not eligible to win again.

4. If you are submitting a computer software program, please enter as soon as possible to allow reasonable time for review. Additionally, if you have released versions for more than one computer platform, please submit each version. Any program needing special peripherals, (e.g., synthesizer keyboards, specific speech cards), should include those peripherals. Peripherals will be returned.

5. Judging will be made on the actual product. No photographs, slides, or videos of the product will be considered. A product that cannot be properly evaluated due to nature of design, (e.g., administrative software, laser discs without a laser player, or a software program that we do not have the hardware configuration), will be returned and your entry fee refunded.

6. Entries should be postmarked no later than April 24, 2000.

7. Entries will not be returned. All products will be donated to a non-profit child care center after the judging process.
