ACTIVITY
Body Cube

This activity gives children an opportunity to explore how their bodies gather information from the outside world. Explore the functions of the five senses through this simple game.
Before You Start
Glue the pictures you’ve chosen to represent the five senses to each side of the tissue box.
With the paper and markers, make a card that says “Roll Again” and glue it to the last side of the tissue box.
Let's Begin
1. Read the book My Five Senses by Sally Hewitt.

2. Talk with the children about their five senses and how our senses help us understand the world around us.

3. Introduce the game by letting him or her know what the rules are: each person will have a turn to roll the body cube and describe how they use that sense to gather information about the world around them.
Furthermore
Play another game and have the children describe what life would be like if they didn’t have use of that particular sense. Do research to learn about how people with hearing or sight impairments use different devices to gather information about the world around them.
