Place the baby in a comfortable seated position, and sit down facing him.

1. Place your hands on your lap or on the floor in front of you.
2. Then slowly raise them, wiggling your fingers as you do.
3. Encourage the baby to do the same, as you playfully chant, “We’re growing!” |

| When the baby can stand on its own, you can play this game with the whole body! Simply start in a crouching position, facing the baby (who should be in the same position), and slowly raise yourself to a standing position, encouraging the baby to do likewise. |
