ACTIVITY
Nature Wreaths

An Activity for Preschoolers
Children use their imagination and creativity as they make these Nature Wreaths
Curriculum Area
Dramatic Play and Art
Before You Start
Talk to the children about the different things (such as: grass, leaves, sticks, rocks, acorns, etc.) that they might see all around them if they went camping or if they went for a walk in the woods or backyard.
Let's Begin
1. Give each child a brown paper bag.

2. Take a group of children outside to look for and collect some of the things that might be found if they were camping.

3. Once back inside, provide each child with glue, glitter, and ribbons.

4. Help the children to glue the things they found outside, as well as the glitter and the ribbon to the paper plate to create a Nature Wreath.
Furthermore
If weather is not permitting, or if going outside to collect sticks, etc. is not an option, collect these things yourself the day before and bring them into the classroom with you when you introduce the activity.
