Before You Start
Freehand-cut or use stencils to cut out figures of the pets listed in "Materials Needed". Hole punch eyes if desired. Lay out the tagboard pieces in a row.
Let's Begin
1. Taking the baby’s hand, dip the underside of each “pet” into the glue and press to the center of each piece of the tagboard. Let dry.

2. Hole punch 3 or 4 holes along the left side of each piece of the tagboard. Lace up the side with the yarn and tie off.

3. Say the name of each pet and encourage the baby to touch them.
Furthermore
Fabrics and materials for this project are available at notions and craft stores, and stencils for pet shapes can be easily found online, at craft stores, or in activity books. The pet with the thickest fur should go on the first page of the booklet so it closes easily.

Various fabrics and materials to represent the texture of each pet. Try soft felt (kitten), faux fur (dog), feathers (bird), and vinyl (lizard).
