ACTIVITY
An Ocean Biome

The ocean is a beautiful place, home to many creatures and plants. This activity allows the child to create a model of this beautifully landscaped environment. When we appreciate the beauty of something, we are more encouraged to respect it as the precious natural resource it is.
Curriculum Area
Science/Art
Before You Start
Assign each child a particular part of the ocean to research (whales, coral, sponges, fish, ocean floor, etc.) Have the children record their data.
Let's Begin
1. Each child will use their data to create a small-scale model of the creature or part of the ocean they researched. The children will put their models together and into the fish tank to create a model of the ocean.
Furthermore
Use several aquariums to illustrate life at different depths of the ocean.
