Does anyone working in a preschool have a written policy they might share for when a staff member is accused of abuse or neglect? The Massachusetts Office for Children regulations state that we must have this policy in our personnel handbook. Since we are a small center (staff of 3) we haven't had to clarify many of the personnel policies that bigger centers must establish. I would appreciate any ideas on the wording of this policy as we want it to be both fair to a parent who might make such an accusation, as well as to the staff member. I want to clarify that this is for the purpose of complying with state regulations, and that it has not actually occurred at our school.
If you respond, it would be greatly appreciated if you could do so directly to this e-mail address (my husband's) in addition to the discussion forum, as I am not able to check in here as often as I would like. Thank you in advance!
