This past year our program has attracted the children of a lot of public school teachers. Now that Summer is nearing, they have plans of withdrawing their children for the next few months when they do not work. They would like to return in the Fall when they go back to work. We are at the dilema of what to do with their spot. Do we guarantee them a spot when they return in the Fall? Do we charge a retaining fee for the Summer months? Do we give the spot away to whoever would like to sign-up for the Summer and continue on into the Fall? Do we advertise the spot just as a Summer opening? Does anyone have a policy for this situation or something similar? While we enjoy these families, we have to keep our budget in mind.
