I have an 18month old child in my daycare home who has been with me for about 5 months. The child's mom will take 35 minutes to 1hour to say goodbye. I have tried everything to make her feel comfortable and to reassure her about leaving her child. The child cries after she leaves for 20 minutes or more. The child cries 70% of the time he is in daycare. He will not play with the other children or alone. He feels that I have to assist him and be with him all day. He feels he can't do anything without an adult. I have mentioned this to his mother and she said that she is always right next to him while playing. I have 3 other daycare kids in my care. I have had some for 5 years. I have never had a child behave like this. I can tell his behavior annoys the other kids. What should I do?
