Back in October we held a staff appreciation luncheon for all our full-time staff members. We had sub sandwiches and our cook made potato salad, etc. We also decorated the staff lounge and had had lunch served from 12:00 to 1:00 to accomadte everyone's lunch schedule. We had a very positive response from staff, saying how nice it was to sit together with other people they wouldn't normally see during the day. They all truly seemed to appreciate the effort we had put into making some special time for them. While it didn't stop the gossiping, etc., it did let the staff know we value how hard most of them work everyday with little recognition. We are planning another one in February. Any other suggestions would be welcome!
