thank you for being so honest and encour...
thank you for being so honest and encouraging. My daughter is also having a problem with drinking. She will not hold a cup or bottle herself. The therapist is going to begin helping with this too - it's the strangest thing - she will take a bottle from me first thing when she wakes - but has to be in her crib with her lying down and the same formula (similac) - if i alter any of this she refuses to drink. I have a tiny newborn sippy cup by her during the day and she has no interest in picking it up and drinking herself. She will not accept a bottle of cup from me for the rest of the day -- its very scarey - i worry about dehydration ever single day - but the doctors assure me she isn't because she gets liquid in her food...They want me to stop the similac and only use whole milk - and wean her off that one bottle by 15 mos - basiclly in less than a month from now -- it is freaking me out - the one time she will drink they want me to stop it ---- i feel like my daughter is doing all of these things she shouldnt be doing according to the docs....we are a mess!!!!
