Which pill?
I'm not sure which pill you are talking about Mrs. Gray. The pill that I used to take was called DDAVP. I could be mistaken but I thought that this was a neurological drug. First, try to think back to when she was an infant. Ask yourself, how were her sleeping habits? Could she sleep through other children screaming and carrying on, OR would the softest whisper in the next room wake her up? I'm leaning closer to sleeping heavily (Correct me if I'm wrong). Heavy sleepiness is a very common cause of bedwetting. Other factors may include bladder size, or fast metabolism. If she's a heavy sleeper, then what's happening is that the pain and discomfort from the bladder strain is not sufficient to wake her from her sleep, and the bladder elastic will give after awhile and she will pee in her bed --she does NOT choose to--. Read "Past Experience Part I" for more details. If you're putting her on the toilet at night, and she's not peeing, then she may be focused on something else. If you're just looking for a dry night, put her on the toilet, then try dipping her hand in warm water without her looking. The shock from the warm water usually gives a child the feeling to pee. The DDAVP drug cured me in about 7 months, (she would not have to take it indefinitely). From what I understand, it helps bridge the gap between the pain receptors in the bladder and the brain, but I don't think it should affect her kidneys (It's probably a different drug). I will post "Past Experience Part III" sometime this week. If you're still around say something.
