The fact is, we've been talking about HOME childcare providers. Independent business owners, not employees. Or even "workers" as the unions like to put it, which I feel is a put-down. We are not powerless, we make our own working conditions. The fact is that we have associations already in place, formed by childcare providers, run by childcare providers, already advocating for us. Our voice will be even more diminished by throwing another body into the mix if a union were to take form. Oh no, that's right.
