If you allow the children to sit on the floor then why can't they walk on it with bare feet. As long as the floor is clean I don't see a problem with it. Children should be allowed to experience different textures and surfaces on their feet, as they do with their hands. It encourages them to move their feet in different ways and develops muscles in their feet and legs which they can't do with shoes on. In Australia children are encouraged to play on the fort (jungle gym) with bare feet to help them to develop these muscles. Name: Email: Subject
