Because it is a rule. Yes they can get hurt. They can fall over a toy and hurt themselves badly. You are there to ensure their safety. You sure wouldn't want a lawsuit on your hand this soceity is sue happy thesse days. There are creative ways to get them to move and use their bodies. We are also teaching them where appropriate places are to run. Sometimes it isn't inside like a school . resturant,church etc. I teach in a public school pre kdg and we CANNOT run inside. My chidlren are provided with every opportunity to move their bodues when needed. Running in the classroom earns them a timeout. Name: Email: Subject
