Subject: 8 year old daughter still pooping her pants

I am having a major problem!! My daughter just turned 8 in April and still is pooping in her pants. She was potty trained by 2 and has never had a urine accident. Last night I took her to see a movie, and out of nowhere I could smell the odor of feces...This afternoon we were at a store and she said she needed to use the bathroom...well she did not make it on time, she ended up pooping on herself and it all fell down her leg and onto to the floor, we ran out of there quickly...I don't know what else to do...we have taken her to doctors and they said she was fine she just did not want to stop what she was doing...She is also in therapy because of the pooping issue and divorce (her father and I are divorced and I am re married to a man that adores her and she adores). I try the "sit on the toilet routine" but it still is not helping....I try talking, pleading, taking away her favorite things...but NOTHING IS WORKING! We tried explaining to her how un-healthy feces is, what it is, and how sick it can make her...At times she gets rashes that make me want to cry!!! We also told her how everyone can smell it on her, and most of all how if a kid smells it on her in school they are going to make fun of her...but it is not fazing her. Please give me some suggestions!! I am willing to try anything at this point. Thanks so much for your time, and I will be awaiting you reply! All my best, Francoise.
