my daughter eats very slowly
My stepdaughter eats very slowly. In a family reunion this summer she was the last of 300 people to finish and she only stopped eating when someone told her that she didn't have to finish the food on her plate. This child who is a late blooming 16 year old is very stingey about food, usually piles food on her plate, hold food in her cheeks, and stays at the table for an hour maybe. She nearly always eats all of her food and often gets seconds even when she has eaten alot already. She does not have a weight problem. She doesn't have bolimia or anorexia. I can not find any help on the net. I am asked by other people what her problem might be. Her mom says that she didn't double her birth weight on schedule when she was 3 months old, but after that gained just fine. I wonder if she has a constricted esophagus? Help!
