I think I may be able to help. It was not only my son but my 4 year old niece as well who was leaking per say in their underwear. They were not actually having a bowel movement just what looked like they didnt wipe them selves well. I got mad did the punishment thing nothing worked My niece is a diebetic and if her Dr had not thought of this we never would have known. They tested her for Celiac disease. It is hereditery and is carried on my husbands side of the family We never knew because non of my husbands family ever showed signs(my 2 brother in laws) Come to find out that all of there children have it in some form or another as well as my 2 children. In some it is diahrea in others constipation it veries But it can be controlled through diet They can not eat any gluten products No Breads, Cereal, things of that nature I never would have known if not for the 1 Dr's smart thinking I have been to several who told me nothing was wrong and gave us Miralax and other things to try and help my son.
