Subject: My 6 year old has stopped eating

Hi everyone. It's good to know I'm not alone, but my situation is a little bit different, and I didn't know if anyone had any advice. My son has always been a picky eater, but lately he will hardly eat at all. It has been going on for 2 weeks where he won't eat breakfast, he'll eat a couple of crackers for lunch, and if I'm lucky he'll eat a couple of fishsticks for dinner. He has been telling me his stomach hurt, but I thought that after 2 weeks he would be feeling better. But he isn't. Also, now he will not eat next to anyone. He gags if he has to sit next to anyone to eat, and it's become a big problem in school (and he just started school last week!). He never used to be like that. Also, he has never tried new foods, and if we tried to have him try new foods, he would intentionally throw up so he wouldn't have to. I've had people mention to me that he sounds like he has Asperger's Syndrome, but weren't sure. And I'm not sure, either. And it has taken me forever to get an appointment with his pediatrician (it's not until this Thursday) and I am at my wit's end. Today all he ate was a couple of fishsticks, and a couple of bites of apples. It's getting worse, not better. And it doesn't have anything to do with him choking like most of you have had a problem with, because he hasn't choked in a couple of years. And now he has no energy, and that is just not like him...usually he can't stop moving. Has anyone else gone through something like this before, and have some advice for me?
