8 Year Old Daughter Not Eating
My daughter got a bad case of the stomach flu about 2 months ago, then got 2 more viruses during the summer that didn't involve vomiting, she just felt like it. Now, she worries all the time about vomiting and for the most part can't swallow food. She is underweight as it is and I am very worried. I did take her to the doctor when she was sick last time and told him I thought part of her problem was that she was anxious about throwing up. He just said lets see how it goes. She got better, but all of a sudden is having the same issues. We can get her to eat a little, but it is very stressful for all of us. She knows and admits she worries about it, but can't stop. She tells me she wishes her mind didn't make her worry. I have tried and tried to put her mind at ease, with no luck. I think I will try the school counselor to see if she can offer any advice.
