Subject: You can do it!

Ms. Michelle, If you can handle the baby room (I'm soooo done with babies!) you can handle this! I love toddlers. I love encouraging their curiosity and need to explore. They are such little problem solvers! They will climb on the chairs and tables, though if you don't have an area for them to climb. We actually have a small climber in-doors (I think it's foam with plastic on it) for them to be redirected to if the need to climb arises! MY favorite trick for just a moment of peace- Read them "Mortimor" by Robert Munsch. While reading it, the bit that repeats is you yell loudly, "Mortimor!" and get them all to yell back "Be quiet!" (poor little boy in the story gets yelled at like that, but it's really very funny, because he gets even with some loud singing.) - but then, if your room starts to get too noisy during the day, you yell out, "Mortimor!" - they'll respond with "Be quiet" and I SWEAR, there will be at least 6 seconds of ACTUAL silence and then the noise level will stay low for a little while! I couldn't believe it, but it really works! Personally, the thing I love best about toddlers is their ability to think outside the box!
