Subject: poops

my nephew is nearly five and he poops his pants then smears it over walls or in his closet or wherever he can find. i have told my brother that this isnt right and that there is a reason he would do something lke this, but his wife has convinced him that it is normal and he does it cuse he doesnt wamt to miss out on whatever is going on. he will just drop his pants and wee or poo, then his mum will tell my brother that it was the dog. so he really doesnt know the extent of how many times he does it, he was in my jacuzzi when i first got it for half an hour on his own while we were all sitting in the garden and he pooped and squashed it all up playing with it. coul you give me some idea of what makes a child do this, i understand they have accidents but not to drop his pants poo on the floor and smear it all over, he once climbed on the shelf in his closet and pooped and smeared it over the walls. we need some advice please.
