my daughter is scared to eat also..
She is four and on this halloween she choked on candy. she ate fine for two weeks, then all of a sudden four days ago she started to show signs of not wanting to swallow. I caught her spitting her food in the sink, then it progressed to her not eating anything with texture. her daily diet for three days now is popsicles, icecream, drinks and frozen yogurts pops(gogurts) I cant get her to even try to eat anything. even applesauce or pudding. she refuses to even try. The pediatrician said to not make a huge fuss, but how can you when your child wont even try. what do you do? I tried to tell her she would have to go to the hospital if she did not eat, but it doesnt change her mind, she would rather say she is sleepy than try to eat. as a parent this is such a scary struggle. I am wondering how long this will last.
