Boy it sounds like you are doing all the right things. I am in the same boat STILL (since Halloween)! He is eating but just very selective and small amounts. I have been fattening my guy up (after he eats solid food) with Ensure High Protein, a package of Instant Breakfast and a scoop of ice cream....it's "yummy" and fattened him up fast. Keep me posted on the tonsil stones. I have never heard of that. As for the anxiety, mine is not so anxious about this anymore. I told him to relax with it because he was getting proper nutrition. Now he just obsesses about every scratch, bug bite or whatever. I feel like I've given birth to Jack Nicholson! = ) I just reassure him with each incident and try to give it as little attention as is possible. As for the going back to work, I too am a stay at home mom, I know that my son started up with his bit when I was doing a LOT of volunteer work for school (a jog-a-thon). Although his was definitely associated with an incident, I couldn't help but wonder the same. I was also worried that he was being pushed too hard by his teacher or too many extracurricular activities. I stopped everything extra and asked his teacher to back off a bit. I think it is a VERY slow process. The difference though between our kids is that yours does feel something...so I think you are doing the right thing with the ENT...maybe strep? I am surprised the psychologist is even willing to talk to you until you have completely ruled out physical variables. Winter break is coming up and maybe some good one-on-one time so you can really control her diet will help. Good luck and enjoy the day! I hope this helps you even the slightest bit, 'cause I know all you are going through...it is really tough! Think how easy the teenage years are gonna be after going through this. = )
