Subject: an almost 5 yr old son refuses to eat solids

Hello I have a son who has always been a great eater. He had a throat infection in early february which caused him to have a very sore throat. Since then he refuses to eat anything he has to chew. He has been living on tomato soup, yogurt , popsicle, pediasure and will drink anything. He's been to emerg, had blood and urine tests. He's had an enema because of constipation. Now today he had an upper gi and so far they have found nothing. The pediatrician said i have to take away all the things he's been eating, and make him eat. But everytime we try he spits it out, he refuses to chew. We are at our witts end and it is affecting our other children. He hasnt been back to school as he is afraid of lunch time. Any advice would be great.
