4 year old not eating
Wow! Guess I'm not alone in this. BUT the difference is that my son hasn't choked on anything to make him not want to eat. He had been rather congested and still has a cold with a cold and runny nose (congested at night). He is barely drinking anything. I think we are down to 16 oz a day or so. His urine is dark yellow and smells absolutely horrible. He has often had "too much" in his mouth and would spit it out. When he has eaten in the last 5 days he has done the "too much" thing at least once at each meal. Today I bribed him with Sonic chicken strips... he was ok with that and got home, sat down to eat... he started eating, I was thrilled and then I just walked into the other room to let him be... to see if that would assist in him eating. He stopped about half way through the first strip and threw them away. I came in, saw that it was all cleaned up and I was all excited about it telling him how great it was that he finished all his food. Praising him. Then I noticed his face. I asked if he finished his chicken. He said, "yes", but I could tell that he didn't. I asked him if I look in the trash will the chicken be there. He got upset, not wanting me to look in the trash. He flat out lied to me about eating the chicken! HE'S FOUR! I am so frustrated with this. Any suggestions?
