water play alternatives
In Australia at present, we are under strict water restrictions. We have been told that water play is not permitted unless we have a rainwater tank. (i was getting the children to help pour the water on the plants afterwards, but even this isnt allowed) Unfortunately our centre cannot afford a water tank at the moment. I absolutely love water play in my program and use it often (especially when the weather is warm, but i tend to offer it all year round). I also use sand, mud and wheat etc but I'm looking for some new ideas as alternatives..
