Subject: Infant/Young Toddler (up to 18 months) activities

I just started working in a infant room at a daycare center. These people are very about letting the children do things that are messy (painting, sensory activities, etc.) or things that the children might put in their mouths (HELLO-EVERYTHING!). I would like to shake the place up by allowing the children to do (supervised, of course) fun activities, like playing in sand, paint, water and other things but I need help. I gave them some plastic/rubber bugs in Easter grass to play with when we studied bugs and they LOVED it and supervised carefully.(I'm still finding pieces of Easter grass all over the floor)
