i have just recently completed my 90 hour certificate at a community college, planing to try and get a prn position for experience. i'm thinking to change from getting degree from nursing to earlychildhood ed. i know lots of people thinks i may be foolish, because nursing pays more. but i just started to lean towards helping kids in learning or eventually may turn to social work. is any one out there already have their bs degree in education?, what else can you do with a 2 or 4 year degree in early childhood?. i love children very much ,but not quite sure if i want to teach, but know for sure want to work and help samll children ages birth to five or seven yr old early intervention. i hope to return to school this fall, i'v been out of school since jan 2002. i work weekends as a nursing assistant. i have two small children 3 1/2 and 1 yr old. i stay home in the week to save on baby sitting money.
