we need maternity leave in the USA!
Cleveland has alot of 24 hr centers. The evenings kids have more free time, and a bedtime. however, some kids do wind up staying from 9pm till 1 pm (naptime) the next day so mommy gets some sleep. the school kids wind up getting dropped off at 9 for bedtime, and going to school to arrive home at 4pm. think about it, they are 'home' with family for 5 hrs a day and on weekends. and the rest of the day, transition after transition. the babes and toddlers fare the worst. turnover at the centers are high, so a young child can have around 7 or 8 people a day caring for them (and not consistenly).
