What an interesting idea, as far as selling your daycare business & house. I would assume it would depend on zoning laws if you were to actually sell it as a business, but I'm not up-to-date on those criteria. What I would suggest, however, is to contact your local CCR&R; *(Child Care Resource and Referral). They might have some very beneficial information to help you. I would also talk to your local Head Start program. If they are like ours, they are always looking for additional space, but sometimes they cannot actually purchase buildings. Any organization that does work with families and children could be a possible candidate. If you were located here in our town, for example, we could run our Parents As Teachers program out of it and utilize the activities and environemnt for trainings for child care providers and parents.
