6 year old girl not eating
My 6 year old daughter lost her appetite maybe 4 months ago. She would complain of stomach pain, sometimes out of the blue she would hold her stomach and cry..sometime int he middle of a meal she would stop and say she couldn;t eat anymore because her stomach was hurting. I noticed that she would do this when she was feeling nervous about someting (she was nervous about school..the end of last year when all this started) the night before school she would not be able to eat anything, nor the morning of. It go really bad during the summer, there were days when she owuld eat nothing at all. She got the stomach flu during the summer and was sick a few times..and now I believe is afraid to eat many foods for fear of getting sick. As soon as school started this September, things got a bit better, ( she isn;t nervous about it anymore) ans is eating more, but still will only eat a small amoutn, and will only eat a few things. Even her favorites she won;t eat now..and still complains of stomach pain sometimes..and gets full very fast. I don't know what to do with her, dinner time is a right off--she usually won't eat anything...she was lost weight, and I think she will keep losing if this keeps up. I wonder if it is anxiety that is making her feel this way, she does tend to get very nervous about things...any help would be appriciated.
