People can be harmful to children regardless of their sex. When you are in the field of Early Childhood Education, being attentive and loving come with the job. Denying a child the assistance of buttoning up thier clothes is a lost opportunity of assisting them to learn how to do it by themselves. What do single fathers do? They treat their children with love and respect and should others wonder what they are doing with their child, it becomes that other person's problem. When parents enroll children in the facility of thier choice they should decide whether they are comfortable with a male teacher. I have been in the field for nearly 20 years and I have seen good and bad male and female teachers. When I have an issue I take it to the source and make adjustments accordingly.
