Hi Darlien, CONGRATULATIONS! i am sure you will bring each other more joy than you could imagine! - We recently had a artical on TV about international addoption, the ideas that they shared included - finding other families in your area that are in a simlar situation or are Guatamaulan - they can help you share ideas about food and language that he will be used too. As he is only one, he will pick up english with ease - just by being with you. With his other areas of development - check with your family Dr, that all is OK but i think just playing will have him caught up in no time, visit the park, join a playgroup, have simple toys ect for him to explore (you dont need to spend a lot things liek box to crawl in and out of will provide hours of entertainment. good luck!
