Subject:3 1/2 year old has not eaten anything solid for 5 days

My 3 1/2 year old Granddaughter had tonsilitis and as a result she vomited when she was eating. This happened about 5 days ago and she has not eaten one bite since then. She is on amoxicillan to clear up the toncilitis but the only way she will take that is if we slip it into her apple juice. The juice is the only thing she has been drinking and eating. She has dark circles under her eyes and has lost 4 lbs already. She is playing and i happy but just will not eat anything at all. She says she is not hungry. No amount of coaxing helps. If she does take something into her mouth she spits it out. We are afraid that her system will shut down. We are afraid of what the results will be. Any ideas. Thanks

Hello,
I'd get help from a doctor in this situation to make sure there aren't any other physical upsets that are deterring her from eating. A doctor could also give some advice on how to help her to start eating again and what foods to give her first.
