    1. My name is Amy 2. I own my own licensed daycare 3. My biggest challenges are; finding activities that are appropriate for all ages- infant to K. It's also challenging to keep your cool with the parents sometimes. 4. There really are too many rewards in my profession. The thing that tugs on my heart the most is when the children have grown up and talk to me several years later about something that happened at my daycare. It's great to know that I am a part of their happy childhood memories! 5. Least rewarding is that usually nobody recognizes how much time and effort I put into the program. 6. We can work together by agreeing on where we want our children to be headed. We need to come to understanding about what is appropriate and inappropriate for children. 7. The answer will vary by state- but in Indiana, you have to complete a licensing orientation, meet licesing requirements for the environment, complete certifications for cpr, first aid and safe sleep practices. You must also obtain a CDA within so many years of licensing.

My name is Rudy. I work in a state funded pre K program in my local school district. The challenges of my work is having to comform to what kindergarten wants the children to know before they come and the developementally appropriateness fo that. the most rewarding thing is when a child learns something for the first time and how excited they are that they can do it. We need to work together with govt to improve fundig for programs and minimize standardize testing. I am required to have a BS degree and Early Childhood certification for this job.
