I agree with Jacque; also, give the child a choice whenever possible ("Do you want to build with the blocks or leave the block area?"). Use natural consequences when possible: "When we knock someone's building down, we have to help build it back up" or "If you hurt our friends, you'll need to play alone for awhile."
