Hi there,
I am a preschool teacher that is currently working on my Early Choldhood Ed. degree so I am finding out first hand what the effects of preschool children vs. non preschool children and through my studies I have found that the effects are staggering. There is evidence that children with preschool in their background are more likely to be more social, less violent and better learning abilities and socialization skills. Now, I believe that children are all so very different that for some children it would be easier for them to fall into kindergarten and develope their sicial skills fine but for a child that is shy or has little friends, that child would need a preschool setting to prepare her for kindergarten. I think that it is inportant that mothers spend time with their children , but three hours out of the day for the education of her daughter is an ill sacrafice AND if there is a schedule that the two of you can work out where maybe your daughter only goes three days a week or something. Good Luck.
